Cardinals first baseman Tino Martinez his two home runs, for a 6-4 win over the Marlins. It was his first two home runs of the year. His fifth inning dinger tied the game at one apiece. In the eighth inning, he helped the Cards establish a 6-1 lead with his second long ball. Reliever Jason Isringhausen allowed three ninth inning runs but held on for the save. Rookie Travis Smith got the last minute start over Garret Stephenson for his first major league, going six innings. The Birds and Fish play the rubber game this afternoon at 12:10.
