Missouri’s Public Service Commission is warning less drilling for gas and hot weather this summer could force natural gas supplies lower at the end of this summer. And, that could end up pushing prices higher going into the winter. PSC Chairman Kelvin Simmons says the Commission is putting out the concerns about the higher prices to encourage companies to buy gas in advance to get it before it goes up. In addition, Simmons wants to see consumers weatherize their homes now and look at getting on a payment plan to keep their monthly bills more consistent.
