Not since 1945 has an NHL goalie done what Brent Johnson has done. Johnson’s 27-save shutout lead the Blues to a 1-0 win over Chicago giving them a three games to one lead in the best of seven series. The Blues net-minder now has three straight playoff shutouts. He’s the first to do it since Frank Mc Cool accomplished the feat with the Maple Leafs fifty-seven years ago. The game’s only goal came off the stick of Pavol Demitra at the 18:43 mark of the second period. After that, it was all Johnson. The Blues can advance to the Western Conference Semifinals with a win in St. Louis on Thursday night.
