Severe turbulence 37,000 feet above Springfield has forced an airliner to make an emergency landing in St. Louis. Ten passengers were hurt and taken to hospitals. Some passengers suffered severe head cuts because they hit the ceiling of the plane’s cabin. The plane was on a flight from Guadalajara, Mexico, to Chicago. The passengers were put on later flights to complete their trips.
