The Chiefs defense just got stronger. On Monday the team came to terms with linebacker Warrick Holdman. The three-year veteran recorded a career high 97 tackles and forced three fumbles in 2001. The four year deal is worth $12 million and includes a $2 million signing bounus. The Bears have until Friday to match the offer, but they’re expected to invest in fellow free agent linebacker Rosevelt Colvin. … The Rams sent a 6th round draft pick to the Colts yesterday and got wide receiver Terrence Wilkins in return. Wilkins biggest asset, however, will be his talent on special teams. He was 6th in the AFC in punt returns, and 7th in kick off returns. … Rams fullback James Hodgins has been given an offer by the Broncos. The Rams have until Friday to match it.
