The Senate has given preliminary approval to a bill that would take away unemployment benefits from certain people who are currently eligible for those benefits. Senator John Loudon of Ballwin sponsors the bill. Hesays firings due to drug or alcohol abuse would come into play in determing eligibility. Another positive vote in the Senate is needed before the legislation can move to the House.
