The state’s business community is calling for reform of Missouri’s Workers’ Compensation System. Missouri Chamber of Commerce President Dan Mehan says the scales are tipped in favor of the employee, and that results in dramatic increases in Workers’ Compensation rates paid by businesses. He says that ends up hurting the state’s economy. Mehan says there is too liberal an interpretation as to which injuries should fall under the category of a work related injuries.
