Jeff Suppan allowed only one run in seven innings, to lead the Kansas City Royals to a 9-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. Suppan gave up six hits and didn’t walk a batter, as he picked up his first win of the year. White Sox starter Todd Ritchie took the loss, giving up three runs in 5 2/3 innings. The Royals broke a 1-1 tie in the 6th, on a leadoff triple by Neifi Perez, a Carlos Beltran hit-by-pitch, an RBI groundout by Mike Sweeney, and an RBI single by Michael Tucker.
