St. Louis Cardinals broadcaster Jack Buck has undergone surgery to treat Parkinson’s disease. Doctors implanted a small device called a deep-brain stimulator into his brain. The device will send a small electric charge into his brain, relieving him of the symptoms caused by Parkinson’s, such as trembling and stiffness. Buck’s son, Joe Buck, says the surgery went as well as it could have, and doctors are very optimistic.
