The State Senate wants nothing to do with a proposal that some lawmakers say would only create more speed traps.Senator Marvin Singleton’s proposal to let cities put little cameras at busy intersections, and issue traffic tickets based on the pictures they take, does not go over well. The Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee refers to Singleton’s idea as “a sneaky way for cities to do business.” The Senate has strongly rejected Singleton’s idea.
