A national health advocacy organiation gives Missouri a “B” in tracking health problems that could threaten a person’s life, from birth defects, to adult illnesses. The Trust for America’s Health, based in Washington, D.C., putsMissouri among 14 states getting a grade of “B.” Eight had “A’s.” Missouri gets a pat on the back for efforts to link envirnomental pollution to birth defects, and gathering and using information on pregnancies and newborns.
