The 22nd ranked Missouri Tigers held off pesky Iowa State at the Hearnes Center last night 76-73. Kareem Rush was the story in this one as the junior swingman scored 23 of his 27 points in the second half. Ricky Paulding added 14 points to the cause while Arthur Johnson pitched in with 13 points and ten rebounds despite carrying four fouls with him down the stretch. The Cyclones actually had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but Jake Sullivan’s three-pointer rimmed out allowing the Tigers to hang on. Missouri improves to 17-6 on the season with the win. After the game, head coach Quin Snyder talked about the victory.
