The Internal Revenue Service begins a thirteen city tour of Missouri with a day-long stop, Tuesday, in Kennett – giving taxpayers a chance to get information and assistance in filing their tax returns. Janice Lawrence of the IRS in St. Louis says employees will actually fill out forms for some lower-income taxpayers, but those taxpayers will have to bring along some information, such as photo ID and earning statements from 2001. This is part of the IRS’s effort to be more helpful and courteous. The tour wraps up March 1st in Union.
