St. Louis Rams running back Marshall Faulk took a moment away from his preparations for Super Bowl XXXVI yesterday to learn that for the second straight year he has been named the NFL Player of the Year. Faulk finished the regular season second in the NFL with 2,147 total yards – 1,382 of which came on the ground. Faulk also led the NFL with 21 touchdowns. Teammate Kurt Warner was also a finalist for the award.
