Marshall Faulk rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns and the St. Louis Rams defense contained Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb just enough to give the Rams the NFC Title, 29-24 over Philadelphia. The Rams will now play New England in Super Bowl 36. Faulk carried the ball 31 times in the win, including seven straight times to start the second half. That set the tone for the final 30 minutes. The Rams trailed 17-13 before Faulk took over. Philly actually had a chance to win the game with two minutes left and the ball near midfield, but McNabb was intercepted by Rams cornerback Aeneas Williams to effectively end the game. The Rams held the Birds to just four first downs and 74 total yards in the second half. So it will be the Rams and the Patriots in the Super Bowl in New Orleans. New England advanced with a 24-17 upset of the Steelers in Pittsburgh. After the game, Rams head coach Mike Martz and RB Marshall Faulk talked about the big win and the next step.
