More cuts in state spending are coming. This time from the agencies that actually spend the money. Office of Administration Commissioner Jackie White says four taskforces looked at four areas of state government to make spending cuts: the number of state vehicles, cell phone usage, travel costs, and food purchases. White says there aren’t a lot of specifics yet on how much the plan couldsave the state. Three policies are being put into effect immediately while a new travel policy will need legislative action. She says the current tight budget is behind the search for more cuts in state government.
