The Kansas City Royals avoided arbitration with lefthander Jose Rosado yesterday, agreeing to a one-year, 3.25 million dollar deal. Rosado missed all of last season and most of the 200 campaign with a shoulder problem. When healthy he has been effective, making two American League All-Star teams and earning the 1999 Royals Pitcher of the Year honors.
