We might be in a recession, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at how business is booming at Missouri’s casinos. They’re raking in the bucks! Statewide, gamblers lost $1.13-billion in 2002 – up 14 percent from $998-million in 2000. In Kansas City, the four casinos there took in $582-million last year – an increase of almost 9 percent over 2000. Both numbers are marketplace records.
