Another honor for St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner yesterday as for the second time in three years he was named the NFL’s MVP. Warner beat out teammate Marshall Faulk by four votes for the award. Faulk won it in 2000. This past regular season was a great one for Warner, he completed 69% of his passes for 4,830 yards and 36 touchdowns. He led the Rams to a 14-2 record, an NFC West title and a first-round bye in the playoffs. St. Louis will host a Divsional playoff game on January 20th. Warner was unable to speak at the press conference announcing the award because of an injury to his vocal cords, so he used a dry erase board to convey his feelings. (Photo by Bill Greenblatt, UPI)
