Missouri’s Homeland Security Adviser believes the state has spent all that is necessary for security in the current fiscal year. But Tim Daniel is looking for more than $2-million for the next fiscal year, which begins July 1st. Daniel says the $785,000 being spent this year in Missouri should do it. He does not see a need for supplemental funds. As for the next fiscal year, Daniel says $2-million to $3-million will be needed. This year’s funding is paying for new security measures, including badges for state employees and more guards at government buildings.
