The NCAA advised the University of Missouri yesterday that the school’s request for reinstatement of eligibility for men’s basketball player Uche Okafor has been denied. Okafor was suspended indefinitely on December 20th for signing with a Russian semipro team. Okafor has not play any games this season with Missouri after transferring from the College of Southern Idaho. Now he will no longer be allowed to practice with the team, although he will remain on scholarship. NCAA policies and procedures do not allow for today’s decision to be appealed any further.
