There is some good news, mixed with some not so good news on the Christmas sales season in Missouri. The Missouri Retailers Association believes sales figures have been helped by the release of new electronic games this year but were hurt in the clothing area because of the warm fall. and, it says many of the sales retailers saw this year were on deeply discounted items. and, that translates into less money in businesses’ pockets. The Association says it is important to keep watching Wall Street and the stocks of retailers to get a real feel of how the economy is faring.
