The St. Louis Cardinals may have found their closer. Today’s Dallas Morning News reports today that free agent closer Jason Isringhausen has chosen to sign with the Redbirds instead of the Texas Rangers who had offered him a four-year deal worth 30-million dollars. The righthander saved 67 games over the past two seasons for the Oakland Athletics. He was born in Brighton, Illinois and reportedly wants to play near his hometown.
