The #2 Missouri Tigers picked up a stirring 69-67 win over the St. Louis Billikens last night at Savvis Center in St. Louis. It was Wesley Stokes playing the role of hero for Mizzou as the sophomore point guard hit a 17-footer as time expired to give the Tigers the win. That basket came after SLU’s Marque Perry had tied the game with a three with 4.8 seconds left. Perry led all scorers with 20 points, Clarence Gilbert and Kareem Rush led Missouri with 18 points a piece. The Tigers also got a great game underneath from center Arthur Johnson – he scored 14 points while pulling down 16 rebounds. Mizzou improves to 8-0 with the win while the Billikens fall to 2-4.
