Kurt Warner threw for 401 yards and three touchdowns as the St. Louis Rams improved to 8-1 on the season with a hard-fought 24-17 win in Foxboro over the New England Patriots. Warner hit Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk and James Hodgins with his scoring strikes and his 401 yards passing were a season high. On defense, the Rams forced three turnovers and allowed just one touchdown — the first New England score came on a 52-yard interception return by Terrell Buckley.
