The Missouri Tigers opened their college basketball season in fine form last night, beating Tennessee-Martin in the opening round of the Guardians Classic 89-63 at the Hearnes Center. Kareem Rush led all scorers with 28 points while Clarence Gilbert added 19. Sophomore point guard Wesley Stokes finished with 11 points and a game high seven assists. The Tigers will now play Air Force in the second round of the Classic, that game will be played tonight at the Hearnes Center. The Falcons beat Yale in the other first round game in Columbia last night 68-62.
