Two researchers from the University of Missouri-Columbia have a timely announcement after three years of work. They’ve developed a decontamination solution that kills a wide range of microbes, including anthrax spores and viruses. College of Engineering researchers Randy Curry and Kenneth McDonald have seen it work in the lab and want more field tests done before putting it to use in the battle against bioterrorism. Tests have shown a complete destruction of anthrax spores.
