The latest economic numbers for Missouri confirm the state’s economy is still experiencing problems. The state’s Purchasing Manager’s Index has slipped to a 46. The number is based on new orders, prices, employment, and several economic indicators. Anything below 50 is considered bad. Nationally, the index is lower, as well, falling eight points since the September terrorist attacks.
