A little book published in Independence in 1833 has been sold for $391,000 by a New York auction house. The rare copy of the Mormon Book of Commandments was published only a few days or weeks before opponents of the Mormons broke into the publisher’s office and broke up the printing press. The identity of the purchaser has not been announced.
