An engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers says an investigation into a complaint lodged by a Hermann-area farmer has discovered no abnormal operation involved with Truman Lake. Edward Parker in the Corps’ Kansas City office says he found only minimal releases from Truman that would eventually work their way down into the Missouri River. Farmer Gerald Engemann remains unconvinced. He sticks with his claim that the Corps flooded his crops in June of 2000 when water was released from Truman Lake.
