Missouri Southern QB Josh Chapman and Truman State QB Eric Howe have been named co-MIAA Offensive Players of the Week. Chapman threw for three touchdowns and ran for a fourth in Southern’s 35-13 upset win over Central Missouri State on Saturday. Howe threw for 311 yards in a 24-23 win over Northwest Missouri State and scored the winning touchdown on a 4-yard run with 12 seconds remaining. Southwest Baptist University DE Nick Heggeman has captured the MIAA’s defensive honors after his eight tackle, blocked punt performance in a 17-10 win over Emporia State.
