Anti-terrorism efforts have been added to the responsibility of the State Highway Patrol. Patrol Superintendent Roger Stottlemyre has appointed Patrol Lieutenant Tom Taylor as the new anti-terrorism coordinator. Six investigators will work with Taylor, who will, in turn, work with the state Homeland Security Director as well as federal and local officials. No decision has yet been made as to whether the position will become permanent.
