Pavol Demitra, Cory Stillman and Mike Keane all scored goals and Brent Johnson kicked away 28 shots as the St. Louis Blues skated to a 3-3 tie with Columbus in the season opener. The Blues held a 3-2 lead in the final minutes, but Rostislav Klesla scored with 2:44 remaining to earn Columbus the tie. The St.Louis special teams played well in this game converting 2 of 5 power-play opportunities while not allowing Columbus to score on the man-advantage in five tries.
