State Department of Transportation Director Henry Hungerbeeler will be in charge of making sure the nation’s transportation system is secure against terrorism. Hungerbeeler will head a task force that will assess the vulnerability of the nation’s transportation system to possible attack. He has experience in such things. Hungerbeeler served in Texas as chief of staff for a military task force combating international drug cartels, as well as base commander for Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina and Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
