Governor Bob Holden has named Michael Hartmann as his new chief of staff, replacing Julie Gibson who has announced she’s leaving the post this fall to serve as a consultant to the Missouri Democratic Party. Hartmann is currrently the commissioner of the Office of Administration. Hartmann previously served as chief of staff to both Governor Mel Carnahan and Governor Roger Wilson. Prior to joining the Carnahan administration, Hartmann was director of administration for the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
