The St. Louis Cardinals beat Milwaukee again last night, winning 9-4 at Busch Stadium. Albert Pujols homered and knocked in five in the win, which has moved the Cardinals into the lead of the wild-card race. Dustin Hermanson (13-12) allowed just two runs on six hits in five innings of work to earn the win. The Cardinals remain 4 1/2 games out of first in the National League Central behind first-place Houston. The Astros beat the San Francisco Giants 3-2 last night. That loss by the Giants, however, allowed the Cardinals to slip past the Giants for first-plca in the wild-card race.
