State lawmakers have come up with a plan to modify Missouri’s Livestock Marketing Law, despite a bipartisan compromise already put forward earlier this summer. The special house committee hearing proposals for changing the law has basically agreed to what the Senate had approved earlier, but has added provisions that extend the life of the bill to 2006 and require every livestock purchase to be written to form a paper trail to show any possible livestock price discrimination.
