LaClede Gas Company has offered a payment plan to its 36,000 customers who still owe on last winter’s high gas bills. A company spokesman explains that for the customer with a $700 debt, the company will take one-twelfth of the amount owed and one-twelfth of the estimated cost for the next year – about $140. Just last week, the Public Service Commission warned tens of thousands of Missourians could be cut off going into the cold part of year.
