The commissions set up to determine the issue of redistricting political boundaries for House and Senate districts in the Missouri Legislature have failed to reach concensus. So, the issue is going to the Missouri Supreme Court. A panel of judges appointed by the Supreme Court determined the boundaries following the 1990 census. Meanwhile, Democrats and Republicans are criticizing each other for the failure to reach agreement on boundaries. Democrats say Republicans wanted the matter sent to the courts all along. Republicans say that is not the case.
