The Minnesota Twins had lost 29 of 38 since the All-Star Break. Then they met the Kansas City Royals. The Twins completed a weekend sweep of the Royals on Sunday with a 7-2 win behind righthander Brad Radke. The veteran ace allowed just one earned run on three hits in seven innings of work to improve to 11-8 on the season. Blake Stein was beat up by a five-run fifth inning in this one to fall to 5-7. In that five-run inning, the Twins stole five bases.
