The St. Louis Cardinals lost for the second time in three games in Cincinnati on Wednesday, dropping a 3-1 decision to the Reds. Rookie lefthander Lance Davis (6-2)allowed just an unearned run on two hits in seven innings of work to beat the cardinals for the second time in two starts this season. Darryl Kile (13-8) allowed just the three runs on seven hits in seven innings of work, but he takes the loss. The Reds scored all their runs in the second, Davis keyed the rally with an RBI hit and a run scored. Despite the loss, the Cardinals remain three games out of first in the National League Central as Houston lost to Philadelphia 2-1.
