If your company can’t use its own name as an internet address, it could cost you money. Missouri is helping to protect those names. The Secretary of State’s Office says infringement on company names has become more common with the advance of the internet. The Office says if the name is being copied, a business should hire the services of an intellectual property lawyer because the holder of a service or trademark is responsible for defending it.
