Something rare happened last night at Kauffman Stadium. The Kansas City Royals won a game – even rarer, it came against the best team in baseball the Seattle Mariners. For the first time in six games this season, the Royals beat the M’s by the final score of 6-3. Righthander Kris Wilson (4-1) was the story in this one as he allowed just a run on five hits in seven innings of work to pick up the win. Royals beat-up Seattle starter and All-Star Freddy Garcia (11-2), torching him for all six runs in just four innings of work. Kansas City opens a four-game series with Oakland tonight.
