The first lawsuit under the state’s No Call telemarketing law has been filed. It’s been less than two weeks since the telemarketing law went into effect. The Attorney General’s Office says it was important to move quickly against Absolute Advantage Consulting of Largo, Florida. The state went after three other telemarketing companies. But they agreed to penalties and promised to adhere to the law. The cost of the database with the “do not call” numbers costs telemarketers $25. It’s updated four times a year.
