Citizens in Columbia are being asked to donate 30 tons of iodized salt to Columbia’s sister city, Kotysi, in the Georgian Republic. Salt with iodine in it is not available there, and one-third of the children have goiter problems. The Georgian Republica used to part of the old Soviet Union.
