President Bush’s visit to Europe has generated quite a bit of criticism of some U.S. policies. Senator Christopher Bond is making it clear he does not think the United States should worry toomuch about negative comments from Europe. Protesters angry over everything from the U.S. position on missile defense to its stand on the Kyoto treaty, dealing with pollution, have greeted President Bush during his trip to Europe. Bond says the U.S. must protect its own interests and the Europeans are free to disagree.
