Mark McGwire returned from the disabled list in a big way, hammering his second home run of the season to help lead the St. Louis Cardinals past the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2 on Monday. McGwire singled and scored the first run of the game in the fourth and then he jacked a Paul Rigdon offering deep to left in the sixth for a solo shot. Albert Pujols added two home runs and three runs batted in in the victory which goes to Matt Morris on the mound. The righthander pitched six shutout innings to improve to 7-3 on the season. Jason Christiansen pitched out of a bases-loaded situation in the ninth to earn his 1st save of the season. The Cardinals remain in a tie for first with the Chicago Cubs in the NL Central with the win.
