Democrats in the Missouri House have pushed through their plan for redrawing the state’s political boundaries. Republicans were vocal in their denunciation of the House proposal. and, in the end, only one GOP member voted with the Democrats as they passed the plan. The Senate is so far refusing to consider the plan passed by the House. Democrats tied up the Senate for three hours with a mini-filibuster over a claim the Republican plan is aimed at ending the political careers of two Democrat Members of Congress. They’re vowing to not let the Senate bill come to a vote, meaning the battle is expected to be a long one.
