There is good news for TWA employees in the buyout of the airline by American Airlines. Trans World’s President and CEO Bill Compton says the deal, which still needs government approval helps TWA employees past and present. Compton says almost all TWA employees jobs will be preserved, with only a few top executives likely to be left out in the cold. The buyout keeps the TWA name in the air for the next few months until the transaction is finalized, when it disappears into U.S. aviation history.
