A man who walked into the State Highway Patrol’s Jefferson City office to declare he had killed his wife has pleaded NOT guilty in court. Troopers found the beaten body of Bruce Kremer’s wife after he led them to it. Kremer told troopers about the death last month. Still, Kremer has proclaimed his innocence in paper’s filed with the court. A trial date has been set for the first of February. Cole County prosecutor Rich Callahan says its fairly usual for suspects to plead “not guilty” to their crimes at first, as their defense attorneys work on strategy.
